Back to school!

After a long winter break, I’m back to work and school. I’m so happy to be back! I was tired of sitting around, doing nothing all day. I’ve been pretty busy and finally have a little bit of time to gather myself. Today I had French 102 and English 102. Both were very easy. Not much to update on, but I have a little treats for you guys today! This is wonderful website that I found: www.myfitnesspal.com . Not sure if that hyperlink will work, but if not, you can always copy and paste. Anyway, this site is great because based on the information that you enter and the goals you set, it comes up with a diet plan specially suited for you! Did I mention that it’s free? I’m trying it out now and so far (even though there were doughnuts in the employee lounge), I’m on track. I can’t wait to see the results!

By the way, I totally ate one of those doughnuts and it was the best 190 calories that I’ve ever ingested!

I swear by these. Normally, I’m not a fan of lip balm, but I love CO Bigelow and Nivea! Also, I was sick recently, and this is the best cure for a chapped nose. Call me crazy (or don’t, I’m not sure how many people do this) but if you rub a little of the balm over the chapped area of the nose, it’s insta-relief!

Again, when I was sick, candy canes helped soothe my throat better than Halls cough drops.

It goes on smooth and it doesn’t feel sticky or icky at all. Another plus, it smells like sugar cookies!

I could eat Panera Bread’s Creamy Tomato Soup all day long. I usually hate tomato soup but this taste like pasta sauce. I recommend getting it in the bread bowl.

Thank you, Lifetime. They are showing Grey’s Anatomy from the first season every night from 4:00-7:00. Best 3 hours of my life.

The past few months have been strange, chaotic, and beautiful. Messy nightmares and wonderful opportunities, all wrapped in a neat little package. School was hectic but I loved every minute of it! Many of you may remember that I was an Art major at the beginning of this blog. Well, I am now a French major, with a minor in Art. I’m a penniless college student, and my haunts include Taco Bell and the local Kangaroo gas station. I have spent the past few months living on ramen and spaghettios and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I work with the most amazing group of people at my university’s library. I don’t know what I would do without them. I now have an amazing boyfriend and the best group of friends that a girl could ask for. I’ve drifted away from a lot of people who I would once talk to and that is sad, for the most part. Some of these people, I’d like to bring back into my life. There are others who I’ve just grown away from. I’m not happy about it but sometimes, things change for a reason. I don’t want to make this entry very long, but my point is, I’m happy. I want to make 2010 the best year that it can possibly be. I want to help my viewers by bringing a smile to their face and by helping them with their problems. So, here’s to the start of a new year! May it be better than the last!

Welcome Back!

I’ve been contemplating getting rid of this blog for a while now. I was so busy, I never had the time to blog anymore. I’ve been around Tumblr, but mostly to reblog nifty little pictures that I find. The truth is, I started this blog when I was in a really rough spot in my life and I didn’t want to remember any of that. I looked through the previous pages and just when I was about to delete this memior, I realized that I just couldn’t do it. This blog has helped me through so much. It kept me busy during a time when I needed help the most. That’s why, for this new year, while my life is so utterly grand, I’m bringing it back. ZombieSalsa is back for 2010, ladies and gents!

On to business, I promised a makeover, and for those loyal visitors that have been with me from the very beginning, you’ll notice that this is my very first layout. I missed it. I’m going to keep it around for new folks for a little while.

Also, my next entry will be a short insight of what’s been going on for the past few months. Just to let you guys know what I’ve been up to.

A few a you will notice that I don’t allow comments. This is because I don’t like feeling pressured to update, and I end up worrying how many comments I will get in such. BUT I would love to hear what people have to say! In my freshly reviewed About Me section, you will find my email. Please feel free to contact me at any time.

Who is sick of hearing about the Kanye West drama from last nights VMA’s? Well, then you might want to skip this entry because I’m going to talk about it. I agree with everybody saying that he’s an ass, HOWEVER, he did make the show entertaining. Swift didn’t deserve that. She seems like a sweetie and frankly, her music sings the songs of my soul. I will disagree when people call Kanye West talentless. Rude, arrogant, and obnoxious? Yes. Talentless? No. While it doesn’t excuse his behavior, I think we should remember, IT’S KANYE WEST. Of course he’s going to say something to cause a stir. Congrats to the lovely Taylor Swift!

Speaking of causing a stir…..Lady Gaga’s performance? Wow. Fieeeerce.

I don’t say the right thing all the time and I’m not super peppy. I don’t care what people think about me and I’m really not going to win any kindness awards. The truth is…I’m kind of a bitch. I’m not proud of it and it’s certainly not intentional. I bring this up because I feel really bad about some things that I’ve said about people. People that I don’t know all too well. I say that I dislike them and that’s not really fair. I don’t know why I feel like I have to gossip in order for people to like me. Not really gossip I guess. I don’t know, the point is, I’m working on it. I’m trying to cut back on talking about people. I just want to be a better person.

Other than that, things are going well. I’m keeping it real…I’ve been happy. Just tired.

Oh my poor, sweet, baby blog! I’ve neglected you and I am sorry for this. So many things have been going on that I just haven’t had time for the internet! I moved into my new place on Sunday, but I was so busy with school that I didn’t even really go back until Friday! Life is busy but good.
